Student Department

The Student Department / Central Student Services is responsible for the following tasks:

• Central Admissions Office (application, admission and enrolment for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs)
• Central Examination Office,
• Event management,
• Handling of tuition fees,
• Germany Scholarship,
• Preparation of bylaws and amending bylaws,
• Supervision of continuing education programs and
• of the project group for the introduction of a CMS.

You will also find the central point of contact for the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science for questions relating to examination law in the associated Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.

We also process applications for exemption from tuition fees for international students and second degree students. You can find information about this HERE!

The student department is located in Beethovenstraße, 1st floor, room 263 - 265b.

We endeavor to provide you with all the information you need in the above-mentioned areas in order to make the respective processes as easy as possible for you. During our opening hours, we will be happy to assist you by telephone and, in urgent cases, by appointment via our scheduling tool, either in person or via an online meeting. The new self-service student portal has been available for you since Monday 10.01.2022. 

You can find the relevant information and the login portal HERE.

In the self-service student portal, you can retrieve certificates online (e.g. enrolment, de-registration and study progress certificates), submit online applications (e.g. application for leave of absence, re-registration and de-registration), retrieve notifications online (e.g. for de-registration and leave of absence), change address data online, etc.

We are delighted to be taking a big step towards digitalization with the new self-service student portal.

Fee scholarship for Ukrainian students in Baden-Württemberg possible!

The attack on Ukraine by the Russian Federation is forcing Ukrainian students into a deeply precarious situation in which they need support.

With this program, the Ministry of Science ensures that students from Ukraine who are already studying in Baden-Württemberg at the start of the 2022 summer semester will not have to pay tuition fees.

Ukrainian students (foreign students) who were enrolled at a state university in Baden-Württemberg or at an academy in accordance with the Academies Act at the start of the 2022 summer semester (§ 16 b stays), who have already paid tuition fees to the institution and are in financial need due to the war can receive financial support.

This is a scholarship in the amount of the already paid tuition fees of € 1,500. The funding is limited to the summer semester 2022 and the winter semester 2022/23.

Eligibility to apply, procedure, deadline

The Ukrainian students submit their requirements to the university. The university examines this. The application is submitted by the university to the Ministry of Science. It is possible to apply separately for each semester.
